Our offerings cover the period from 1920 - 2008 with the 2009 issues added as Scott
™ Catalog Numbers become available). This group consists of both definitive and commemorative issues in single and year
set lists. Stamps after Scott 702 qualify for a 10% Discount on orders over $100.00!
Back-of-Book (BoB) Issues:
Semi-Postal
Stamps (B):
These Back-of-Book (BoB)
issues are a relatively
new item to American
stamp collectors. The
program was created in
1997, when Congress
directed the USPS to
provide a stamp to
benefit Breast-Cancer
Research. Since then,
two other issues have
been put on sale. One to
benefit the families of
emergency workers killed
or disabled in the9-11-2001event
and the latest to "Stop
Family Violence".
All three stamps
non-denominational
stamps are currently
have be extended at the
current "first-class"
rate plus surcharge.
Vending
Booklets (BK, BKC, QI):
This group is being
phased out by the USPS
by the end of 2010 after
over a hundred years of
issuances. We offer the
Regular Booklet (BK)
series from BK80-305,
The Air Post series from
BKC1-23 and the Postal
Insurance series from
QI1-5.
Air Post
Stamps (C):
Fifteen years after the
first powered flight,
the Post Office was
tasked with
standardizing "air mail"
practices. As a result,
we have a very
interesting series of
stamps depicting
everything from
aircraft, pioneers in
flight, and various
historical events. The
current series that
started in 1999 depicts
American natural
wonders. We offer the
complete series that
started in 1918.
Air Post Special
Delivery Stamps (CE):
This depression era
series of two stamps was
issued to prepay air
mail special delivery
fee with a single stamp.
The central design was
the Great Seal of the
United States.
Special
Delivery Stamps (E):
The "Special
Delivery"
service was officially
ended in 2001 after 115
years of operation.
These stamps were used
to pay fees for
letters/packages that
required immediate
delivery. We offer this
series from starting
with Scott E17 to its final
issue - Scott E23.
Registration
Stamp (F):
This one series
stamp was issued in 1911
to pre-pay a letters
registration fee (10¢)
and retired in 1913 as
unneeded.
Certified
Mail Stamp (FA):
This one series stamp
was first issued in 1955
for proof of delivery of
first-class mail for
which no indemnity value
is claimed. This stamp
became unnecessary in
1971, shortly after the
formation of the USPS.
Postage Due
Stamps (J):
Postage Due Stamps owe
their existence (1879)
to the infidelity of
local postmasters not
reporting, but
collecting unpaid
postage. This series of
stamps were discontinued
in 1985 as automation
kept underpaid items
from entering the mail
stream. We offer this
series from Scott J69 - to
J104.
Official Stamps (O):
Official stamps were first used in 1873 to eliminate fraud in the misuse of the 'franking' privilege by government departments. These stamps were issued by department until 1911 then discontinued with the introduction of "penalty mail". Official
stamps were reintroduced in 1983 on a government wide basis. We offer the complete modern issue (Scott O127 - O162).
We are currently in the process of adding
BOOKLETS and other BoB material to the catalog
